Over the years there has been much discussion on creating a Hardship Fund for our Members much like the fund other Locals use currently. Basically, a set amount of money would be deducted each week from every Member’s pay and kept for them until the end of each Master Contract. The fund is intended to provide a financial cushion that allows Members to base their vote on a contract’s merits rather than the fear of losing income. Discussions will be held at each Regular Monthly Union Meeting on Wednesday April 21, 2021, at the Union Hall. A vote on creating the Hardship Fund will follow the discussions at each meeting.
